It is an exciting time of the year for all – a time for people of many faiths to celebrate and commemorate, a time for friends to gather and toast one another as we ring in the New Year 2010, and a time to reflect on how lucky we all are to be in this magical place.

The magic of the Litchfield Hills is found in a community of people who often times seem to care more for others than for themselves.  So many events that take place here are organized and worked for and by people who donate their time and talents for the betterment of our community and the world at large.  We have spoken to customers who have gone to other countries to help build homes, have helped people here in our area that have been struck by disasters, who work tirelessly for the aged, the homeless, the abandoned animals, and just about anyone or thing that needs their help.  The people of this community come together over and over again to support any and all efforts to boost our economy, enrich our lives, and assist others.  Our community is truly a model of volunteerism in this new era that our country is in.
